OINP Score Calculator: Your Ontario Workforce Priority EOI Score

Ontario now scores Expression of Interest profiles in one stream, the Ontario Workforce Priority stream. Enter your job offer, work, education and language details to see your score out of 132.

Your job

The first digit is the broad occupational category and the second is the TEER. Find your code on the official NOC site.

Work and status

Used only when you have less than 6 months in the job offer position.

Education

A Canadian credential, or a foreign one with an ECA.

Language

Ontario uses your lowest ability on each test, and the higher-scoring test counts. CLB 6+ in both languages adds 10 points.

How the Ontario Workforce Priority stream works

  1. Your Ontario employer registers and submits your job offer.
  2. You register an Expression of Interest (EOI) within 30 calendar days and get a score.
  3. If invited, your employer has 14 days to submit its application, and you have 17 days to submit yours and pay. You can't submit before your employer does.

What changed in 2026

Ontario replaced its former streams with the Ontario Workforce Priority stream. The former streams, including Employer Job Offer Foreign Worker, International Student and In-Demand Skills, used a different points system, so their 2026 score ranges (for example "57 and above") aren't comparable with this calculator. Read what replaced the OINP International Student stream.

An Ontario nomination through Express Entry adds 600 points to your CRS score: see the CRS calculator. Compare provinces with the Alberta, BC PNP and Manitoba calculators.

Frequently asked questions

What is the maximum OINP EOI score?

The scoring factors add up to 132 for job offer applicants - 72 for employment and labour market factors, 20 for education, 25 for language and 15 for region. Self-employed physicians don't get wage points, so their maximum is 117.

What OINP score do I need?

Ontario hasn't published invitation rounds under the Ontario Workforce Priority stream yet. Its invitations page (updated 20 October 2026) lists rounds under the former streams only, up to 30 April 2026. Those used a different scoring system, so their score ranges can't be compared with this one.

Do I need a job offer for the OINP?

Yes, for almost everyone. The Ontario Workforce Priority stream requires a full-time, permanent job offer from an eligible Ontario employer. Only eligible self-employed physicians with an OHIP billing number can apply without one.

Why does the location of my job matter?

Ontario gives up to 15 regional points to encourage settlement outside Toronto. Jobs in Northern Ontario get 15, Eastern, Central (outside the GTA) and Southwestern Ontario get 10, the rest of the GTA gets 5, and the City of Toronto gets 0.

Which language test result counts?

Ontario uses your lowest score across the four abilities on each test. If you took both an English and a French test, the higher-scoring one counts for the main language points, and CLB 6 or higher in both languages adds 10 more points. IELTS Academic and One Skill Retake tests aren't accepted.

Is the OINP International Student stream still open?

No. Ontario closed the former streams, including Employer Job Offer International Student, in June 2026. International graduates now apply through the Ontario Workforce Priority stream. See our page on what replaced the International Student stream.
